We provided piping and electrical design services in PIA and Utilities, and assisted Kellogg Brown & Root with the TMA Bridging project, in the Joliet Chemical plant. We also provided piping design support for the Whiting Chemical plant.

BP Amoco

We updated mechanical flow diagrams (P&ID’s), piping plans, and spool drawings for Waste Water Treatment and Oil Movements areas.  A total of 2000 drawings were updated or created. In addition, nine of our people provided full time design or CAD support to the Joliet refinery.

Exxon Mobil Corporation

We performed piping design, layout, instrumentation, and power design for an LDPE heat exchanger replacement, for replacing two ethylene pumps, for improvement to two ethylene storage tanks, and for flare gas piping modifications at Equistar’s Morris, IL plant. We designed modifications to steam piping including performing a stress analysis. We developed designs for LDPE 13.8kV and 4.16kV motor protective relay upgrades, and developed a site plan and building plan for a steel oil drum storage building.

Equistar Chemicals LP

We provided piping and mechanical design and CAD support to NOVA’s polystyrene plant in Joliet. We also developed instrument loop diagrams for the plant.

NOVA Chemical

We provided power and instrumentation design and developed PLC programs (using SLC 502) for a new transfer conveyor at U.S. Can’s Morrow, GA plant.

U.S. Can Company

We specified new boilers and performed piping, electrical, and instrument design for a system to provide process steam to two mixers and two drum heaters at the Essex plant in Kankakee, IL. We also developed P&ID’s and an equipment layout for a new process line.

Dow Chemicals - Essex

We developed electrical, structural, and piping designs for a new electrical distribution building and distribution system for the PA Unit at Stepan’s Millsdale, IL plant. We specified a 4160/480V transformer, switchgear, and MCC’s and developed cable tray and motor feed circuit designs.

Stepan Company

We developed a site plan and designed a pump house, reservoir, piping, and pipe support designs for a new three cell cooling tower for Dial’s Montgomery, IL plant.

The Dial Corporation

We developed electrical hazardous area drawings for crude, vacuum, and other units and provided electrical design and CAD services, including developing power plans, conduit routing, and wiring diagrams in the vacuum unit at Clark’s Blue Island, IL refinery.
